PAM Meeting

Philippine Embassy in Kuwait officials—led by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Adrian Audrey L. Baccay, and Labor Attaché Nasser S. Mustafa—met with Deputy Director-General Dr. Mubarak Al-Azmi of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) on 22 March 2021 to discuss ways to speed up the resolution of labor cases involving Filipino domestic workers, and to effect the immediate repatriation of distressed domestic workers to the Philippines.

Both the Philippine and the Kuwaiti sides agreed to work closely in resolving the labor and welfare concerns of Filipino domestic workers in the country. Both sides also made commitments for the full and effective implementation of the new standard employment contract for domestic workers, which was a product of last year’s Joint Committee Meeting on the 2018 Philippines-Kuwait Agreement on the Employment of Domestic Workers.

Joining the Philippine delegation to the meeting with Deputy Director-General Al-Azmi are Assistant Labor Attaché Cathrine A. Duladul of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office, and Welfare Officers Atty. Llewelyn D. Perez and Genevieve Aguilar-Ardiente of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration. (Kuwait PE photo)
