The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait regrets to inform the Filipino community that a female domestic worker is the first confirmed Filipino case of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 in Kuwait. The said Filipino had a close contact with a person who traveled recently to the United Kingdom.

According to health authorities, the said Filipino domestic worker is in stable condition. The Embassy and POLO-OWWA are currently monitoring her case.

The Embassy reminds all Filipinos in Kuwait to stay at home, follow the instructions of Kuwaiti authorities, and stay healthy during this time.

Ikinalulungkot na ipaalam ng Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Kuwait sa Filipino community na isang babaeng domestic worker ang unang kumpirmadong kaso ng Pilipinong may Coronavirus Disease 2019 sa Kuwait. Nakasalamuha ng Pilipino ang isang taong naglakbay sa United Kingdom.

Ayon sa mga awtoridad sa kalusugan, ang nasabing Pilipinong domestic worker ay nasa maayos na kalagayan. Sa kasalukuyan ay binabantayan ng Embahada at ng POLO-OWWA ang kanyang kaso.

Ipinapaalala ng Embahada sa lahat ng Pilipino sa Kuwait na mamalagi muna sa kanya-kanyang tahanan, sundin ang mga utos ng mga kinauukulan sa Kuwait, at manatiling malusog sa panahong ito.
