The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait sent home 32 more Filipinos with expired visas or absconding cases under the seventh batch of its Embassy Assisted Repatriation Program (EARP) on 5 October 2019. Since the start of the year, the Embassy has repatriated 359 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in coordination with the Immigration Department of the Kuwait Interior Ministry. The EARP is the flagship program of the Embassy’s Assistance to Nationals (ATN) Unit, wherein beneficiaries receive free one-way airline tickets from Kuwait to their final destination in the Philippines. They also receive a $100 financial assistance from the Embassy, and food provisions during their temporary stay at the Migrant Workers and Other Overseas Filipinos Resource Center—courtesy of the P1-billion ATN Fund of the Department of Foreign Affairs. Those who wish to apply for the EARP may send a Viber or WhatsApp message to the Embassy via mobile phone number +965 9800 5115. (Kuwait PE photos)
