The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs the public that as of 20 May 2021, it currently has 812 unclaimed new passports from those who applied for or renewed their passports from July 2019 to November 2020.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has a standing policy of returning to the Philippines all new passports that were not claimed at Philippine embassies and consulates after six months from the scheduled date of passport releasing.

In this regard, the Embassy advises all those who applied for or renewed their passports from July 2019 to November 2020 to claim their new passports at the Al-Sahel Sports Club in Abu Halifa Area, on or before 30 June 2021. If these new passports remain unclaimed after June 30, the Embassy will return the said passports to the DFA for immediate disposal.

Furthermore, those who applied for or renewed their passports only recently are advised to follow the Embassy’s official Facebook page, where the Embassy regularly publishes the list of applicants whose new passports are ready for release.

The public is reminded that the waiting period for the arrival of new passports from the Philippines is more or less 45 days.

Ipinapaalam sa publiko ng Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Kuwait na nitong 20 Mayo 2021, mayroon pa ring 812 bagong pasaporte na hindi pa rin nakukuha ng mga nag-apply o nag-renew ng kanilang mga pasaporte mula Hulyo 2019 hanggang Nobyembre 2020.

Kasalukuyang patakaran ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na ibalik sa Pilipinas ang lahat ng pasaporte na hindi nakuha sa mga embahada at konsulado ng Pilipinas pagkatapos ng anim na buwan mula sa takdang petsa ng passport releasing.

Dahil dito, pinapayuhan ng Embahada ang lahat ng nag-apply o nag-renew ng kanilang mga pasaporte mula Hulyo 2019 hanggang Nobyembre 2020 na kunin na ang kanilang mga bagong pasaporte sa Al-Sahel Sports Club sa Abu Halifa Area, bago mag-30 Hunyo 2020. Kung hindi pa rin makukuha ang mga bagong pasaporteng ito pagdating ng Hunyo 30, ibabalik ng Embahada ang mga nasabing pasaporte sa DFA para agad itong itapon.

Bilang dagdag, ang mga nag-apply o nag-renew ng pasaporte kamakailan lamang ay pinapayuhang subaybayan ang opisyal na Facebook page ng Embahada, kung saan palagiang inilalathala ng Embahada ang listahan ng mga aplikante na puwede nang makuha ang kanilang mga bagong pasaporte.

Ipinapaalala sa publiko na ang panahon ng paghihintay para sa pagdating ng mga bagong pasaporte mula Pilipinas ay mahigit o kulang-kulang 45 araw.
