[UPDATE AS OF 14 JUNE 2020] For the newest public advisory for overseas Filipinos who are traveling to the Philippines, please visit the following:

________________________________

The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs Filipinos who will be flying to the Philippines that, in connection with the mandatory quarantine of all arriving air passengers, the cost of their accommodation at government-designated quarantine centers in the Philippines will be paid by the following:

  • the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), for land-based OFWs
  • local manning agency or the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), for sea-based OFWs

Returning Filipinos who are not OFWs can choose from a list of government-approved quarantine centers, at their own expense.

Filipinos in Kuwait who wish to fly home to the Philippines may contact their preferred airline or travel agency to book their flights. However, the Embassy reiterates its previous advice to all Filipinos in Kuwait to postpone their travel to the Philippines, to avoid any inconvenience that may arise due to the mandatory quarantine, COVID-19 testing, and the submission of a Case Investigation Form (which may be downloaded from this link: https://bit.ly/COVID19CaseForm).

The Embassy also informs Kuwait-based Filipinos who are currently stranded in the Philippines that Kuwait International Airport remains closed for inbound commercial flights.
