The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs the Filipino community that Kuwait International Airport will remain open during the total lockdown and curfew period from 10 May 2020 to 30 May 2020, as announced by the Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

According to the DGCA advisory, those who have scheduled flights during the total lockdown must bring their valid passport and a copy of their air ticket (paper or electronic copy), which they will present to the police in case they are stopped on the way to the airport. Only one person is allowed to drive and accompany a departing passenger to the airport.

The Embassy also informs the Filipino community that with the reopening of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila to international flights, inbound commercial flights will only be allowed to land at the NAIA five days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), from 11 May 2020 to 10 June 2020. For information on flight changes, the public is advised to contact their respective airlines or travel agencies.

The Embassy reiterates its earlier advice to Filipinos in Kuwait to postpone their travel to the Philippines, to avoid any inconvenience that may arise due to the Philippine government’s anti-COVID-19 measures, such as the 14-day mandatory quarantine for all arriving passengers and/or COVID-19 testing.
