The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs the public that the Philippine Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ordered today, 2 May 2020, the temporary closure of all Philippine airports to incoming international flights—both commercial and chartered—beginning Sunday, 3 May 2020.

Cargo, utility, and maintenance flights are exempted from the closure order. No advice was given on when Philippine airports will reopen to incoming international flights.

The Embassy advises Filipinos in Kuwait who may have flights affected by the closure to contact their airline or travel agent for the rebooking of their flights.

The Embassy also reiterates its earlier advice to the Filipino community in Kuwait to postpone to a later date their travel plans to the Philippines, to avoid any inconvenience that may arise due to the Philippine government’s strict measures against the Coronavirus Disease 2019.
