The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs Filipinos who are qualified to join the Kuwaiti government’s amnesty program—who have existing travel bans due to unpaid telecom bills—that Ooredoo, STC (formerly Viva), and Zain have set up booths at the amnesty processing center in Farwaniya to accept, with a 30 percent discount, full payments for unpaid bills.
Those who wish to pay in full their unpaid telecom bills may proceed to Al Muthanna Primary School for Boys, located at Street 122, Block 1 in Farwaniya, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM on or before 30 April 2020 (Thursday). Only cash payments will be accepted.
Filipinos whose amnesty applications were rejected last 1-5 April 2020 but have already paid their telecom bills, may also proceed to the booths of Ooredoo, STC, and Zain at Al Muthanna Primary School for Boys, where they will begin the process of removing their travel bans.
The Embassy also reminds everyone that holders of residence visas that expired before 1 March 2020, and OFWs with existing absconding cases are the only ones who are qualified to join the amnesty program. Holders of valid residence visas, runaway workers with valid visas, and those with existing travel bans are not qualified to apply for amnesty.
