The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait regrets to inform the Filipino community that due to the delay in the implementation of an online appointment system for passport applications and renewals, the Embassy will not be able to resume its passport application and renewal service very soon. A separate public advisory will be released on the Embassy’s official website and social media accounts, once the online appointment website goes public.
From 26 April 2020 onwards, the Embassy will instead continue to release new passports only for emergency cases, particularly those whose passports or residence visas have already expired, from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. except weekends. These timings for passport releasing may change once the Embassy resumes its passport application and renewal.
Finally, the Embassy once again appeals to Filipinos with expired residence visas or those with existing absconding cases to apply for the amnesty program of the Kuwaiti government. The Embassy will issue Travel Documents for those without passports, and Reports of Birth for undocumented children from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on 26-30 April 2020. Additional information on the amnesty program is available on the Embassy’s COVID-19 webpage: http://kuwaitpe.dfa.gov.ph/covid19
