The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs the Filipino community that the nationwide curfew has been further extended from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M. starting on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, according to the latest announcement from the government of Kuwait. Violators of the said curfew may be jailed for up to three years, and pay a fine of KD10,000 (more than P1.6 million).
The Kuwaiti government also announced that its public holidays have been extended further until the end of Ramadan, which means that government offices will remain closed until 28 May 2020.
The Embassy reminds all Filipinos in Kuwait to stay at home, follow the instructions of Kuwaiti authorities, and follow the Embassy’s official website, Facebook page and Twitter account. A separate public advisory will be released this week regarding the Embassy’s office hours during Ramadan.

Ipinapaalam ng Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Kuwait sa Filipino community na lalo pang pinalawig ang pambansang curfew mula alas-4 ng hapon hanggang alas-8 ng umaga simula sa unang araw ng banal na buwan ng Ramadan, ayon sa pinakahuling anunsyo ng pamahalaan ng Kuwait. Ang mga lalabag sa nasabing curfew ay maaaring ikulong ng hanggang tatlong taon, at magbayad ng multa na KD10,000 (mahigit P1.6 milyon).
Inanunsyo rin ng pamahalaan ng Kuwait na ang public holidays ay lalo pang pinalawig hanggang sa katapusan ng Ramadan, na nangangahulugang ang mga opisina ng pamahalaan ay mananatiling sarado hanggang 28 Mayo 2020.
Ipinapaalala ng Embahada sa lahat ng Pilipino sa Kuwait na manatili sa tahanan, sundin ang mga utos ng mga awtoridad sa Kuwait, at i-follow ang mga opisyal na website, Facebook page at Twitter account ng Embahada. Isang hiwalay na public advisory ang ilalabas ngayong linggo ukol sa oras ng opisina ng Embahada ngayong Ramadan.
