The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs the Filipino community that Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh issued a decree, which extends until 31 May 2020 the validity of all visit and residence visas (including Visa 14, 17, 18, 20, and 22) with expiration between 1 March 2020 and 31 May 2020. Those who are covered by the said decision are also not be obliged to pay any penalty or fine.
Filipinos who need to renew their residence visas and whose passports have less than one-year validity are advised to follow the Embassy’s official website and social media account, for a future public advisory on when its passport renewal service will resume.
The Embassy also appeals to Filipinos whose Visa 17, 18, 20 and 22 expired before 1 March 2020 to join the Kuwaiti government’s amnesty program before the deadline this 30 April 2020, or they will pay for penalties or fines and will be subjected to deportation, which means that they cannot return to Kuwait again.

Ipinapaalam ng Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Kuwait sa Filipino community na nag-isyu si Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister at Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh ng kautusan, na nagpapalawig hanggang 31 Mayo 2020 sa bisa ng lahat ng mga visit at residence visa (kasama ang Visa 17, 18, 20 at 22) na may pagkawalang-bisa sa pagitan ng 1 Marso 2020 at 31 Mayo 2020. Ang mga sakop ng desisyong ito ay hindi rin kailangang magbayad ng anumang multa.
Ang mga Pilipinong kailangang mag-renew ng kanilang mga residence visa at may hawak ng mga pasaporteng wala nang isang taon ang bisa ay pinapayuhang i-follow ang mga opisyal na website at social media account ng Embahada, para sa susunod na public advisory kung kailan babalik ang serbisyo nito ng passport renewal.
Umaapela rin ang Embahada sa mga Pilipino na may hawak ng Visa 17, 18, 20 at 22 na nawalan ng bisa bago ang 1 Marso 2020 na sumali sa programang amnestiya ng pamahalaan ng Kuwaiti bago ang deadline ngayong 30 Abril 2020, o sila ay magbabayad ng multa at papatawan ng deportation, na nangangahulugang hindi na sila makakabalik pa ng Kuwait.
