The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait is currently in close coordination with the government in Kuwait regarding its amnesty program for residency visa violators, on the condition that they will leave Kuwait from 1 to 30 April 2020.

While the Embassy and the Kuwaiti government have not yet finalized any plan on how the amnesty program will be implemented, accepting and sheltering amnesty applicants at the Embassy are not part of the discussions.

In this regard, Filipinos who wish to avail themselves of the amnesty are strongly advised to avoid visiting the Embassy to inquire about the program or to seek temporary refuge. This is also to avoid overcrowding at the Embassy, in light of the threat of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Kuwait.

Everyone is requested to follow the Embassy’s official website and Facebook and Twitter accounts for future public advisories on how to apply for the Kuwaiti government’s amnesty program.

Ang Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Kuwait ay kasalukuyang nakikipag-ugnayan sa pamahalaan ng Kuwait hinggil sa programang amnestiya para sa mga lumabag sa kanilang residency visa, sa kondisyong aalis sila ng Kuwait mula ika-1 hanggang ika-30 ng Abril 2020.

Habang wala pang naisasapinal na plano ang Embahada at ang pamahalaan ng Kuwait kung paano ipatutupad ang programang amnestiya, ang pagtanggap at pagkanlong sa Embahada ng mga aplikante ng amnestiya ay hindi bahagi ng mga pag-uusap.

Dahil dito, ang mga Pilipinong gustong makatanggap ng amnestiya ay mariing inaabisuhan na huwag pumunta ng Embahada upang magtanong tungkol sa programa o upang tumira pansamantala. Ito rin ay para maiwasan ang pagdami ng tao sa Embahada, sa kabila ng banta ng Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) sa Kuwait.
