The Philippine Embassy informs the Filipino community in Kuwait that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation released Circular No. 27, which bans flights to and from the Philippines and other countries for one week effective 6 March 2020. The circular was issued as a precautionary measure in light of the increasing number of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Kuwait.

As of 7 March 2020, Kuwait has confirmed 58 cases of the COVID-19 in the country, while the Philippines has registered 6 COVID-19 cases of which three are Filipinos.

To avoid any inconvenience caused by this latest circular from the Kuwaiti government, the Embassy advises all Filipinos to postpone to a later date all their travels to and from Kuwait, originally scheduled from 7 March 2020 to 14 March 2020.

At present, personnel from the Embassy and POLO-OWWA are assisting Filipinos at Kuwait International Airport who are affected by the said circular.

Ipinapaalam ng Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Filipino community sa Kuwait na inilabas ng Directorate General of Civil Aviation ang Circular No. 27, sa nagbabawal sa mga lipad patungong at galing Pilipinas at ibang bansa sa loob ng isang linggo simula 6 Marso 2020. Ang circular ay inisyu bilang pag-iingat dahil sa tumataas na bilang ng mga kaso ng Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) sa Kuwait.

Ngayong 7 Marso 2020, kinumpirma ng Kuwait na mayroon nang 58 kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa, habang nakapagtala naman ang Pilipinas ng 6 na kaso ng COVID-19 kung saan tatlo dito ay mga Pilipino.

Para hindi maabala ng circular ng pamahalaan ng Kuwait, pinapayuhan ng Embahada ang lahat ng Pilipino na ipagpaliban sa ibang araw ang kanilang paglalakbay patungong o palabas ng Kuwait na nakaiskedyul mula 7 Marso 2020 hanggang 14 Marso 2020.

Sa kasalukuyan, ang mga tauhan mula sa Embahada at POLO-OWWA ay tumutulong sa mga Pilipinong nasa Kuwait International Airport na apektado ng nasabing circular.

Bilang pangwakas, patuloy na hinihimok ng Embahada ang mahigit 240,000 Pilipino sa Kuwait na mag-ingat upang manatiling malusog sa panahong ito.
